FACILITY FOR PACKAGING AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save labor in removing vegetable liquid by providing a sweeper for sweeping vegetable liquid from a cut face of an agricultural product in a process preceding a packaging process by a packaging apparatus and by constituting a vegetable liquid sweeping part of a water absorbing sheet removably wound around a roll comprising a flexible elastic member. SOLUTION: A sweeper 25 for removing vegetable liquid from a cut face of a lettuce is placed across a belt conveyer 5 in an upstream of a main frame of a lettuce supplying device in a lettuce packaging apparatus. The sweeper 25 comprises a cylindrical member 28 made of sponge out-fitted to a pair of swing arms 27 supported on a support frame 26 so that each can be vertically swung in a state that the member 28 can be loosely rotated along a widthwise direction of a transfer face above the transfer face. A swing driving mechanism 30 for swing-driving the swing arm provided at a base swing end of the swing arm 27 to operate for striking each cut face of a pair of lettuces is driven while the intermittently-driven-type belt conveyer 5 stops.
