COILING METHOD FOR STRIP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To coil/take up the strip without generating twisting between a guide table and a tension reel by traversing a tension reel while detecting a position of a strip in the line width direction and moving the guide table in synchronizing thereto. SOLUTION: A coiling device consists of a mandrel type tension reel 4, a guide table 3, which guides a tip end/tail end of the strip to the tension reel 4 and is inclined, and a sensor 2 for strip position detection. A table shaft 7 of the guide table 3 is connected to a mandrel base 8 of the tension reel 4 through a rotatable arm 9. As a result, when the tension reel 4 and the mandrel base 8 are moved in the mandrel axial direction, the guide table 3 is moved in synchronizing thereto through the arm 9 and a table shaft 7. Timing of movement is conducted a signal of the sensor 2 to detect a strip position in the line width direction.
