DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING FAILURE IN DATA COMMUNICATION EXCHANGE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly judges a device where a failure occurs, to avoid the change-over of an exchange switch as much as possible and to prevent normal communication from being affected by synthetically recognizing overall transmission path states including a communication control processor, an exchange switch and a bus controller, etc., by means of transmission path state judgment results from the respective communication control processors. SOLUTION: The respective communication control processors 11 register the overall mounting states of the communication control processors 11 inside a data communication exchange system in a mounting state management part 111 and test data is exchanged with another communication control processor 11 by test data transmitting/receiving part 112. A central control processor 14 analyzes device states, based on test result reports from the respective communication control processors 11. Thus, the transmission path states of the exchange switch 13 and the bus controller 12 are synthetically recognized so that the failure of the bus controller 12 is correctly judged so as to suppress the change-over operation of the exchange switch as mucn as possible.
