Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cyano compound by such an ammoxidation reaction as enabling to use one or more other ammonia sources instead of gaseous ammonia. SOLUTION: This method for producing a cyano compound comprises subjecting a cyano compound of the formula: R-CN (R is H or an organic group) as an ammoxidizable organic compound to an ammoxidation reaction with an ammonium salt as an ammonia source and with an oxygen source in the presence of an ammoxidation catalyst at a temperature of 100-700 deg.C. The employment of the solution of the ammonium salt enables improved fine dispersion, in its turn, improved contact, and gives the cyano compound of ammoxidation product in an enhanced yield.
