PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience by making a receiver for receiving a modulated wave using a digital signal as a modulation signal correspond to plural transmitting speeds. SOLUTION: This receiver is provided with a cut-off frequency variable low pass filter 20 at the post stage of a subtraction circuit 14 constituting a detector 9. Also, this device is provided with a cut-off frequency control circuit 21 which detects the transmitting speed of a demodulation signal included in an output signal S14 of the subtraction circuit 14 by counting the periodicity of the sampling signal for one period of the demodulation signal included in the output signal S14 of the subtraction circuit 14, and controls the cut-off frequency of the cut-off frequency variable low pass filter 20.
