ELECTROSTATIC OIL COATING APPARATUS FOR WELDING WIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic oil coating apparatus for a welding wire capable of stably ensuring a predetermined amt. of oil on the surface of the welding wire running at a high speed. SOLUTION: An electrostatic oil coating apparatus 1 for a welding wire is equipped with a chamber 2 through which the welding wire W runs, an oil spray means 3 of which the oil spraying orifice is opened toward the inside of the chamber 2, a voltage applying means 5 applying DC voltage across the oil spraying by the oil spraying means 3 and the welding wire W and an exhaust means 4 evacuating the chamber 2 and the oil spraying means 3 is provided to the chamber 2 in such a state that the spray orifice 32b thereof is inclined with respect to the running direction of the welding wire W.
