GELATINIZED COMPOSITION AND GELATINIZED COSMETIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition easily takable with finger and having excellent usability such as smooth feeling to the skin by compounding a carboxyvinyl polymer with an edetate at a specific ratio and compounding a polyethylene glycol having a solidifying point higher than a specific level. SOLUTION: The objective cosmetic is produced by compounding (A) 0.1-1.5wt.% (based on the total cosmetic) of a carboxyvinyl polymer and (B) 0.05-2.0wt.% of an edetate such as disodium edetate at a weight ratio (B/A) of 0.1-2.0. The cosmetic is further compounded with (C) a polyethylene glycol having a solidifying point of preferably 35-41 deg.C in an amount of preferably 3.0-25.0wt.%, more preferably 5.0-10.0wt.%.
