INK RIBBON WINDER AND TICKET PROCESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify an operator that the replacing time of ink ribbon is approaching by detecting a slit in a slit disc disposed coaxially with a ribbon spool through a sensor for detecting the residual amount of ribbon and calculating the residual amount of ribbon corresponding to the winding diameter of ribbon from the period of the slit. SOLUTION: The supporting part 29b of a ribbon rewinding shaft 29 is boded with a slit disc 40 coaxially with a rewind spool 17 and a frame 30 is bonded with a sensor 41 for detecting the residual amount of ribbon comprising a light emitting element 41a and a light receiving element 41b for detecting slits in the slit disc 40. Means 27 for informing the residual amount of ribbon detects the period of slits in the slit disc 40 through the sensor 41 and calculates the residual amount of ribbon which is then presented at a display section 2. Since an accurate residual amount of ribbon can be presented for an operator, the operator can decide whether an ink ribbon must be replaced depending on the increase/decrease of clients.
