PRODUCTION OF RESIN MOLDED PRODUCT AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the appearance quality of a resin molded product by preventing the generation of shrinkage in the molding surface in the vicinity of a gate and the surface of the thick-walled part of an end part in a case molding a resin molded product having a thick-walled part at its end part. SOLUTION: In a case molding a resin molded product having a thick-walled part at its end part by injecting a molten resin into a cavity 12 of a mold through the gate part 28 and runner communicating with the cavity 12, the molten resin 27 is injected into the cavity 12 and stored in a resin storage part 68 adjacent to the gate part 28. Thereafter, in a stage wherein the resin in the resin storage part 68 forms a skin layer 74, the resin is pressed toward the cavity 12 by the press member 62 provided to the resin storage part 68 to form a thick-walled part and the gate part 28 is sealed by a skin layer 74. After cooling, the mold is opened to release the resin molded product formed in the cavity 12 from the cavity surface of the cavity 12 and the resin molded product and the gate part 28 are separated.
