Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incandescent mantle, not containing radioactive elements including thorium, for a fuel burning lantern, which is not inferior to a mantle mainly containing ThO2 , rather superior thereto in brightness and durability. SOLUTION: This incandescent mantle is formed with a cellulose fiber organized bag material containing a metal oxide forming composition consisting of 95.0-99.9wt.% water-soluble zirconium compound and 0.1-5.0wt.% water-soluble hafnium compound. The metal oxide forming composition of 95.0-99.9wt.% water-soluble zirconium compound and 0.1-5.0wt.% water-soluble hafnium compound is dissolved in water, and the solution formed is impregnated to the cellulose fiber organized bag material, which is dried to manufacture the incandescent mantle. |
