SOLUTION: Supporting bodies 11 are provided in the floor surface of the heating device 1, and the hollow ceramic tube 4 of a nitride bonded silicon carbide or oxide bonded silicon carbide is placed on supporting bodies. A burner 13 is installed to the upper part of the outlet 4B side of the stock toward the diagonally lower part of the outlet 4B side of the stock. The outlet 4B of the stock is heated at the highest temperature from the upper side with a burning gas, thereafter the forging stock 5 within the hollow ceramic tube is heated while the gas transfers toward the inlet 4A side of the stock along the hollow ceramic tube 4 in a space 15, then the gas is discharged from a discharging part 14.
