Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automotive headlight having a lamp body that can correspond to different aiming specifications. SOLUTION: In an automotive headlight, in which a light source unit in a body 2 is designed to be capable of being tilted by an aiming mechanism both vertically and horizontally, and in which a turning part 31 for both a vertical adjustment screw and a horizontal adjustment screw which are component members of an aiming mechanism is provided outside the body 2 and is turned to enable the light source unit U to be tilted for adjustment both vertically and horizontally, a cylindrical upright wall 12 surrounding the turning part 31 for the horizontal adjustment screw is extended in at least the position of the body 2 where the horizontal adjustment screw is placed, and a tongue piece part 14 serving as a lid extending in the same direction as the upright wall 12 is joined to a part of the extended end of the upright wall via a thin- walled hinge part 13. In an embodiment in which horizontal aiming is unnecessary, the tongue part 14 is curved by the thin-walled hinge part 13 and locked in such a way as to close an opening in the upright wall 12 and to cover the turning part 31 in the upright wall 12 with the tongue part 14, thereby making horizontal aiming impossible.
