PREPAID-SYSTEM ADAPTIVE VENDING MACHINE SYSTEM USING NONCONTACT DATA CARRIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the vending machine system which eliminates the trouble of operation for using a vending machine and makes good use of the noncontact data carrier without altering the interface of the vending machine. SOLUTION: This vending machine system is equipped with a detecting means 110 which detects the arrival of a user, a reader writer means 120 which rewrites the balance of the noncontact data carrier, and a control part 140. The control part 140 outputs a money reception signal wherein an amount of money larger than the maximum amount of money of vended articles is set to a vending machine part 200 and receives an amount of money for vending outputted when an article is selected, reads the balance out of the noncontact data carrier, and writes the updated balance on the noncontact data carrier and outputs a money amount signal generated by subtracting the amount of money for vending from the amount of money outputted as the money reception signal to the vending machine part 200 when vending is possible, or outputs a money amount signal other than the amount of money obtained by subtracting the amount of money for vending when the vending is not possible.
