STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE GENERATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a display list memory and to reduce processing time by sharing a display list by respective stereoscopic image generation graphic pipelines for the left eye and for the right eye. SOLUTION: Stereoscopic model data are sent from a host computer 1 to a stereoscopic vision image generation module 2. The stereoscopic vision image generation module 2 generates the stereoscopic images of the right eye and the left eye by stereoscopic image generation modules 3 and 3' which are two graphic pipelines, supplies them to respective displays 10 and 10' for the right eye and for the left eye and presents stereoscopic images provided with a stereoscopic effect based on the principle of parallax of both eyes to an observer. At the time, since the stereoscopic image generation module 3' for the left eye is not provided with a display list holding module, a vertex coordinate transformation module 5' receives the stereoscopic model data and the view point data of the left eye from the display list dispatch module 11 of the stereoscopic image generation module 3.
