SOLUTION: The system is equipped with a circulation means 3 with a plurality of holding means 4a, 4b to hold forming tools 5a, 5b and a tool changing mechanism 1 for a metal forming press which is arrangeable at the side of the metal forming press; at the tool changing position, the tool holding means 4a, 4b are capable of being transferred from the tool changing mechanism 1 to the metal forming press or from the metal forming press to the tool changing mechanism 1.
