Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a softener composition hardly decreasing whiteness of a fiber even when being used for the fiber obtained by subjecting the fiber to fluorescent bleaching or bleaching treatment, and capable of providing a feeling rich in greasy feeling to the fiber by including a specific amount of a sulfosuccinic acid compound and water. SOLUTION: This softener composition comprises 3-30wt.% sulfosuccinic acid compound having a condensed residue of sulfosuccinic acid and at least one amide bond, such as compounds of formula I, IF, etc., (R1 is a 15-21C alkyl or alkenyl; R2 is a 14-22C alkyl or alkenyl; X is Na ion or K ion) and water.
