Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability or safety in a tool holding device. SOLUTION: A tip tool 1 can be removed by not only an axial motion of a first grip 3, but with rotation action, so safety of a tool holding device is improved. By rotating a second grip 3 in one direction for a specified angle, a ball holder 5 which simultaneously rotates releases move of a steel ball 8 locking a retainer sleeve 2 in a perpendicular direction to a tool axis, and the retainer sleeve 2 is automatically rotated by torsion torque generated at a spring 9 to a specified angle, where the retainer sleeve 2 is engaged by the steel ball 8 again, thereby operability is improved.
