Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new catalyst consisting of two materials having an adsorption function for an additive and an oxidizing function for a harmful material and having advantage equivalent to a conventional catalyst. SOLUTION: In this catalyst formed from plural materials for reducing nitrogen oxides in an oxygen-containing gas by using at least one hydrocarbon reducing the nitrogen oxides, an adsorption material of the catalyst adsorbing partially the hydrocarbon within at least one temp. range and an oxidizing material of the catalyst having the high oxidizing function for nitrogen monoxide are incorporated. H zeolite, for example H-ZSM5 or H mordenite, is used if possible as the adsorption material. Also the oxidizing material is LaSrCo oxide and/or NaCoFe oxide and/or Mn oxide and/or Co oxide and/or Ce oxide.
