FACE PLATE FOR SHEET STAMPING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate necessity of fine adjustment of height of a stamping blade and prevent marring by the stamping blade by constituting a face plate of a hard layer to directly make contact with the stamping blade and an elastic layer positioned in a lower layer of the hard layer. SOLUTION: It has a two-layer structure of a hard layer 1 and an elastic layer 2, and a sheet material placed on an upper surface 1a of the hard layer 1 is stamped by a stamping blade. The hard layer 1 is desirably made of metal lower in hardness than the blade to keep sharpness of the blade for a long time. The elastic layer 2 is positioned in a lower layer of the hard layer 1 and absorbs pressure force of the blade. It is possible to make one layer or to make a laminated structure of not less than two layers, and its material is desirable to be plastic, rubber, plywood, etc. As there is no clearance existing between the stamping blade and the hard layer 1 by providing this elastic layer 2, the sheet material is completely stamped. Consequently, it is possible to eliminate necessity of fine adjustment of height of the stamping blade and to maintain sharpness of the blade for a long time.
