CATV TELEPHONE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CATV telephone system realizing FAX multiple address service at a high speed by reducing a waiting time of a FAX incoming call confirmation response from all FAX transmission destination terminal equipment in center equipment. SOLUTION: A CATV telephone system includes terminal equipment 3-5 connected to a bi-directional CATV network 1 where FAX communication is possible, a FAX multiple address communication equipment 6 that stores FAX data transmitted from the terminal equipment and transmits the data in a simultaneous multiple address communication way to plural the terminal equipment and a center equipment 2 that makes bi-directional communication by using the CATV network 1 to execute FAX multiple address communication. By conducting simultaneously FAX multiple address incoming call confirmation to all the FAX transmission destination terminal equipment 3-5 in the center equipment 2 and by reducing a waiting time of a FAX incoming call confirmation response, the FAX multiple address incoming call confirmation is conducted in a short time.
