Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic comprising a sun-screening agent or the like which contains a film-forming agent, shielding ultraviolet rays over a wide range including UVB and UVA, simultaneously preventing the erythematous patches and melanism caused by ultraviolet ray, and also excellent in waterproofness. SOLUTION: This cosmetic is compounded with (A) fine, spindle-shaped particles of titanium oxide having an average minor diameter of 0.03 to 0.06μm, average major diameter of 0.08 to 0.12μm and aspect ratio (major/minor diameter ratio) of 2 to 4, and (B) a film-forming agent, e.g. organosilicone resin or alkylated polyvinylpyrrolidone.
