SUNSCREEN COSMETIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject cosmetic, causing no sticky feeling when applied and high in safety and ultraviolet-shielding effect by including specific titanium oxide particles of spindle shape, specific silicone-based cinnamic acid derivative and silicone oil. SOLUTION: This cosmetic comprises (A) 0.5 to 40wt.% of fine, spindle-shaped particles of titanium oxide having an average particle size of 0.03 to 0.06μm, average major diameter of 0.08 to 0.12μm and aspect ratio (major/minor diameter ratio) of 2 to 4, (B) 0.1 to 40.0wt.% of a silicone-based cinnamic acid derivative having at least one unit shown by the formula [R is a 1-4C alkyl, phenyl or trimethylsiloxy; R is an (O-containing) >=2C divalent hydrocarbon; X is an alkoxy; (n) is 0 to 3; and (a) is 2 or 3] and, as needed, a unit shown by the formula O(4-m)/2 SiR m [R is the same as R ; (m) is the same as (n)], e.g. methylbis(trimethylsiloxy)silylisopentyl trimethoxycinnamate, and (C) 5.0 to 60.0wt.% of an oil ingredient containing at least 60.0wt.% of silicone oil.
