Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article for absorbing body fluid which is superior in a shape holding performance in being wet and fluid leakage prevention performance by setting a moist shape holding rate of a fluid absorbing complex to a specific value in a body fluid absorbing article in which the compressed fluid absorbing complex having fluid absorbing polymer and a base material for supporting it. SOLUTION: In an article for absorbing body fluid which is formed by, at least, partially arranging compressed fluid absorbing complex having, at least, fluid absorbing polymer and a base material for supporting it, a moist shape holding rate of the fluid absorbing complex is set to 10% or more. The compression elastic ratio of the base material is set to 3 or more and a polyurethane sponge base material is used as the base material. The bending resistance of the base material is set to 2000(mgf) N} or less and a substance obtained by polymerizing water soluble unsaturated monomer on the base material is set as the fluid absorbing complex. The fluid absorbing complex is compressed by adding a water soluble binder and this compressed fluid absorbing complex is arranged in the circumference of an absorbing core as a fluid leakage preventing material.
