SELECTIVE CALLING RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain warning by predicting a dangerous state that reception can not be suddenly obtained at the time of a heavy load such as calling by providing a battery judging means which judges the validity and invalidity of a battery voltage while a load means is connected with a battery. SOLUTION: When a clocking part 40 such as a real time clock and a timer which clocks a prescribed measuring time (measuring time) previously described in an ROM of a storage part 7 reaches the measuring time, the result is transmitted to a load controlling part 41. The load controlling part 41 connects a load circuit 9 with a battery 8 so that the pseudo appearance of a heavy load state is obtained. A voltage judging part 42 receives information that the load circuit is connected with the battery 8 from the load controlling part 42, and measures a battery voltage V. When the battery voltage V is lower than an announced voltage VB or VL, the result is communicated to an informing part 6, and a user is urged to exchange the battery. Thus, it is possible to previously evade a situation that an operation can not be performed contrary to expectation when calling is actually performed.
