NETWORK PRINT SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network print system in which a quick and smooth processing when abnormality is generated in a printer can be attained in a client/server type environment in which plural clients and printers are connected through an LAN(local area network) with one server. SOLUTION: One server (A) 10, plural clients (B) 20 and (C) 21, and plural printers (D) 30 and (E) 31 are mutually connected with an LAN 40 for work station connection. For example, when abnormality is generated in the printer (D) 30 which prints print data from the client (B) 20, the server (A) 10 detects this, allow the operator of the client (B) 20 to select the substitute printer (E) 31, and allows the substitute printer (E) 31 to print the print data form the middle page without any error.
