FILTER HAVING VERTICAL CYLINDRICAL FILTER ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter having a vertical cylindrical filter element of simple construction having a deposit removing function suitable for kinds of deposits. SOLUTION: A vertical cylindrical body having many openings is installed in a pressure vessel. A filter cloth 12 is provided on the outer surface of the vertical cylindrical body. Pressurized original liquid is fed into the pressure vessel and filtrate is taken out from in the vertical cylindrical body. A deposit on the filter cloth 12 is dried and pressurized air is fed into into the vertical cylindrical body to separate it. In this filter having the vertical cylindrical filter element, the filter cloth 12 provided on the outer surface of the vertical cylindrical body is pressed by plural bands 13 arranged at spaced intervals.
