Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an occurrence of vomiturition when a mouth guard is worn, by forming a recess so as to position the biting plane of mandibular posterior teeth on a part where the said plane comes into contact with the mouth guard, eliminating a sense of physical disorder when the mouth guard is worn and preventing from becoming a major cause of pronunciation. SOLUTION: Where the biting plane of mandibular posterior teeth of a mouth guard 1 comes into contact, a recess 11 is formed. This recess is firmed by marking an impression on the biting plane, e.g. at the time of modeling when a mouth guard is made and biting positions are taken according to a user's habitual biting position. The part of the mouth guard 1 which is to cover the posterior teeth, is so formed that covering is made up to the distal part of the first molar and that no covering is made up to the second molar. Further, the dimension of a lingual part 12 of the mouth guard 1, which is to cover the anterior teeth part is formed thinner in thickness than that of other parts. The lingual part of the mouth guard 1 to cover the posterior teeth part is formed becoming gradually thinner from the part which touches the tip part to the part which touches the neck part of the teeth.
