Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silver halide photographic material having specified sensimetric and physical properties after rapid processing in a soln. replenished with the smallest amt. of a soln. by incorporating a mixture composed of a fixing starting liquid and a fixing replenishing liquid into a fixer to replenish this, fixer with the fixing replenishing liquid at the time of starting the processing and using this fixing starting liquid as a developer. SOLUTION: Development is executed in the developer and fixing is executed with the fixer. The mixture composed of the fixing starting liquid and the fixing replenishing liquid is included in the fixer at the time of starting the processing to replenish the fixer with the fixing replenishing liquid. Namely, if the processing is started by using the fresh fixer, the difference of the compsns. between the fresh fixer and the aged fixer is minimized at the point when the chemistry of the fixer in a processing machine is the chemistry of the replenished fixer fixed with the supplementary additive which is the fixing starting liquid, by which the additional improvement to minimize the difference in the performances of the photographic system is achieved. In such a case, the supplementary additive is the developer which acs as the fixing starting liquid.
