Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine to generate smooth rotational motive power by forming an annular ring-shaped combustion space by a stator to cover a rotor, and partitioning this combustion space by operation of gate valves. SOLUTION: A stator 3 is assembled so as to cover the circumference of a rotor, and an annular ring-shaped or wheel-shaped combustion space is formed. Gate valves 4 to periodically open-close the combustion space according to a rotational phase of the passing timing of pistons 2 attached to the rotor 1, are installed in its stator 3, and the combustion space is partitioned by operation of these gate valves 4. Air injection valves 8 are also arranged to inject compressed air into an operation position just after passing through the gate valves 4 of the stator 3, and exhaust valves 7 to exhaust gas after an expansion stroke are arranged in positions just before the gate valves 4 of the stator 3. Therefore, an engine to directly generate smooth rotational motive power can be provided with a simple mechanism-structure. |
