NONLINEAR COMPILING DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a new expansion circuit and to avoid cost from becoming expansive and introduction from becoming complicated by outputting the digital compressed material sequence of a compiling result as it is through a signal interface without expanding it. SOLUTION: A material read part 2 finds digitally by compressed data recording position information Px of a video material Cx to a material management part 4 for reproducing the video material Cx with the instruction of a compiling data management part 3, and digitallycompressed data of the video material Cx are read from a signal recording medium 1 based on information and it is sent to a material transfer part 5. The material transfer part 5 transfers it to the recording and reproducing device/reproducing device 7 having an expansion circuit through the digital inteface 6. In is expanded and reproduced in the expansion circuit and it is displayed on a display device 8. Video material Cy and Cz are similarly outputted and displayed on the display device 8. Thus, the video materials Cx, Cy and Cz are displayed on the display device 8 and the compiling result can be recognized.
