Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for measuring instrument having a display plate having a design variation while keeping a metallic tone. SOLUTION: A display board 4 has a colorless transparent surface layer 11 having hairlines on the surface of a light transmitting base 10, and a black display layer 12 forming a display part 2 such as scale, numerical number, character or the like provided on the surface layer 11. A half metallic film 14 (evaporated film of aluminum) forming a base color part 13 is provided on the reverse side of the base 10. A blue night display layer 20 forming a character, mark or pattern is provided on the lower side of the half metallic film 14 on the reverse side of the base 10, and an EL 3 surface-emitting a pale blue light is also provided.
