CHAIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce applied to the weakest portions of outer plates, inner plates, etc., constituting a chain to improve the durability of the chain. SOLUTION: The chain is provided with inner links 7 in which cylindrical bushes are installed between a pair of inner plates, and outer plates 8, 9 respectively having the first insertion hole at one end part in the longitudinal direction and having the second insertion hole at the other end part. One outer plate 8, an inner link 7, and the other outer plate 9 are alternately shifted an overlapped, and pins 12, 13 are inserted into the respective insertion holes of the outer plate, the inner cylinders of the respective bushes of the inner links to form a chain. In this case, the pins 12, 13 or both end parts of the bushes are forced into the respective insertion holes of the outer plates 8, 9 or the respective holes of the inner plates 7, and the stress at the time when the end parts of the pins or the end parts of the bushes are forced into the holes, is adapted to be increased across the longer dimension of the outer plates 8, 9 or the inner plates 7 compared to the shorter dimension.
