CONSTRUCTION ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with replacement of a governor rope when a machine chamber is rearranged so as to efficiently carry out rearranging work. SOLUTION: In a construction elevator by which a machine chamber 2 is lifted and rearranged according to a progression process of construction of a building, a governor rope reel 5, on which a margin of a governor rope 6 is wound and held, is mounted on a car 10, and the tip part 6c of the governor rope 6 held on the reel 5 is connected to one end part 6a of the governor rope 6 suspended between both pulleys 7, 8. A rope end connecting tool 15 provided with the first locking part 15a locking the one end part 6a and the second locking part 15b which can be freely rotated to the locking part 15a is arranged in the side part of the car 10, and both end parts 6a, 6b of the governor rope 6 suspended between the both pulleys 7, 8 are connected together via the connecting tool 15.
