Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability by providing a handle on the outer face of a torch body, allowing it slidable and movable in the axial direction, and thereby enabling a single cutting torch to deal with difference in the thickness and the shape of a material to be cut. SOLUTION: A handle 14 for holding a torch body 11 movably in the axial direction is provided on the outer face of the torch body 11 which is formed with an insulated casing 13 surrounding the metal fittings 12 of the torch body; the body 11 after the moving is fixedly positioned by pushing the ball 17 of a locking device 16 installed inside the handle 14, into the hole 15 on the outer circumferential face of the body 11. The ball 17 is pushed into the hole 15 with a spring 18; in the case where the torch body 11 is moved in the axial direction, it is moved back and forth by hand, disengaging the ball 17 from the hole 15 and making a freely movable state. Thus, a distance is adjusted between the handle 14 and the torch tip.
