Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording fluid having improved printing density, storage stability, delivery stability, light resistance, water resistance, fastness and delivery durability by mixing an aqueous medium with a specified carbon black. SOLUTION: An aqueous medium comprising water and 5-30wt.% water-soluble organic solvent is mixed with 1-10wt.% carbon black having a DBP absorption of 140-280ml/100g, a volatile matter content of 4wt.% or below, a pH of 7-14, a BET specific surface area of 100m /g or above and a primary-particle diameter of 24nm or below and 3-100wt.%, based on the carbon black, dispersant selected among anionic, nonionic, cationic and amphoteric surfactants and polymeric dispersants, and the obtained mixture is subjected to frictional grinding and dispersion treatments.
