Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a head floating characteristic and a slide resistant characteristic by forming a large number of uniform fine grooves and fine projection parts on a substrate of aluminum alloy, anode oxide aluminum, aluminum alloy coated with Ni-P plating, etc., or glass or plastics, etc. SOLUTION: The large number of uniform fine projected parts several nm to several tens nm in height and several thousand pieces/mm to several hundred thousand pieces/mm in density of existence formed on the magnetic disk substrate are brought into contact with a slider of a magnetic head at the CSS time of the head, receiving a load of the head. Then, these fine projection parts act to keep a lubrucative film applied on the magnetic disk surface and also to prevent sticking of themselves to the magnetic head. Moreover, since the large number of fine projection parts come in contact with the head slider surface, surface pressure of each individual fine projected part is diminished, so that a change, i.e., deformation and wear of the fine projected parts due to repetition of CSS is reduced, and hence the surface status is maintained under the initial state.
