PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate impact force applied to the comb teeth of a comb and prevent damage of the comb teeth by fitting and fixing the comb on/to a floor plate of a passenger getting on and off port and fixing the floor plate and the comb to the free end of this comb with a fastening tool in a state that an elastic body is held with the comb constituted by forming synthetic resin comb teeth engaged with the cleats of steps. SOLUTION: In the passenger getting on and off port of an escarator, a floor plate 2 and a comb plate 3 mounted at the free end of this floor plate 2 are provided. A plurality of comb teeth 3a formed on the comb plate 3 are engaged with the cleats 4 of steps 5. Between the floor plate 2 and the comb plate 3, a state that an elastic body 6 made of a rubber plate is held is made and they are fixed with a fastening tool 7 such as a screw. Thickness of the elastic body 6 is set to about 0.5mm. Thus, damage of comb teeth 3 can be prevented because the elastic body (rubber plate) 6 becomes a cushion even if a pebble stone, etc., gets jammed in the cleats 4 and the pebble stone collides with the comb plate 3.
