APPARATUS FOR REMOVING FOREIGN MATTER IN VERTICAL PIPING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove foreign matter even in vertical piping having a bent part and a leading end part. SOLUTION: A foreign matter removing apparatus A consists of a wire 9, the guide blade 8 attached to the leading end of the wire 9, the wt. 7 attached to the guide blade 8 by a universal joint 6 and the removing jig 3 attached to the wt. 7 by a universal joint 10. This apparatus A is pushed in piping by the wire 9 to be allowed to fall under its own wt. in the vertical part of the piping by also using the wt. 7. When the apparatus A advances along the bent part of the vertical piping to reach the pipe leading end part of a bottom part, the pawl 4 of the removing jig 3 is pushed in by the inner peripheral surface of the leading end part to be closed to grasp the foreign matter present at the leading end part. The pawl 4 is not opened while closed by the action of a stopper 5. The apparatus A is raised to be recovered.
