Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the floating of leads by providing a lead image processor for processing image data taken by image pickup means to extract shape patterns of an object under test and shape-judging circuit for judging the floating of the leads from the extracted shape patterns. SOLUTION: An illumination 3 irradiates a light on mounted components 2 on a printed board, and camera 5 takes an image of the mounted components 2 from obliquely above the side faces of the leads 4 of the components 2 at an angle at which the lead 4 soldered to a pad 8 does not overlap the far adjacent pad 8 but one lead 4 floating from the pad 8 overlaps the far adjacent pad 8. A lead image processor 10 processes the picked up data to find the positional relation of the lead 4 to the pads 8 and a shape-judging circuit 11 judges from the processed image data the lead to be floated, if the lead overlaps the pad, thus detecting the floating of the lead.
