PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater in which a heating body is complicatedly mixed with an object to be heated by employing the heating body constituted by a cotton-shaped body, and the object to be heated can be heated efficiently. SOLUTION: When a laying part 2 of a grass mower 1 is laid on the ground, a heating body 5 of a laying part 2 is constituted by a carbon fiber cotton, that is by a cotton-shaped body, therefore, grass grown from the ground complicatedly passes a fiber gap of that heating body, and grows upwardly of the heating body 5. When a power circuit 4a of a power unit 4 is driven in this state, power generated by a power circuit 4a is supplied to the heating body 5 of the laying part 2 via a power supply stop circuit 4a and a power cord 5, and the heating body 5 is heated at a high temperature. Since the heating body 5 is comprised of a carbon fiber cotton (cotton-like body), grass gown through the laying part 2 from downward of the laying part 2 comes into intimate contact with the heating body 5 at a part of the laying part 2. Therefore, grass at a part into contact with the heated heating body 2 is burned and cut, and grass is mowed by this grass mower 1.
