Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power breaker in which during breaking an insulating nozzle generates gas, which effectively assists the generation of blow-off pressure inside an arc region. SOLUTION: A power breaker includes a contact structure having a plurality of burning-resistant switching pieces. The contact structure includes a fixed switching piece 3, a switching piece 4 movable along a central axis 2, and an insulating nozzle 6 surrounding the switching pieces 3. 4 concentrically. The insulating nozzle 6 has a constricted part 7 and is manufactured from a burning-resistant synthetic resin. The insulating nozzle 6 is so formed that a burning groove 10 formed extends perpendicular to the direction of electric field load.
