METHOD FOR FIRING FLAT PLATE ROOF TILE AND LOADING IMPLEMENT FOR FLAT ROOF TILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly heat up bodies of plural sheets of flat plate roof tiles with good heat conduction, to fire these bodies in a time shorter than with a truck type tunnel kiln and to enhance thermal efficiency by loading the bodies on a loading implement in an inclined state and firing the bodies in a roller hearth kiln. SOLUTION: The roller hearth kiln 1 consists of a remaining heat zone 2, a firing zone 3 and a cooling zone 4 in Fig. Many rollers 5 are spanned horizontally at specified intervals in the central part in a vertical direction and are adapted to be rotationally driven in the same direction. A suitable number of burners 6 are arranged on the lower side of the rollers 5 in the remaining heat zone 2 and the upper side and lower side of the rollers 5 in the firing zone 3. The roof tile bodies (a) loaded on the loading implement 7 are placed on the rollers 5 and are transported in an arrow direction. Hot air flows in the direction backward from the transporting direction in the roller hearth kiln 1. A remaining heat furnace 8 having the rollers 5 is installed and is kept at 200 to 300 deg.C when the root tile bodies (a) enter the waste heat zone 2.
