Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject copolymer which can effectively be used as a leveling agent for powder coating materials by synthesizing the copolymer so as to comprise at least two kinds of structural units and have a number- average molecular weight in a specific range. SOLUTION: This copolymer comprises (A) at least one kind of structural unit between a 2-22C alkyl(meth)acrylate and a 2-22C alkenyl(meth)acrylate and (B) structural unit of isocyanate-modified acrylic acids to which a monocarboxylic acid or a monoamine is bonded, and the copolymer has 4,000 to 100,000 number-average molecular weight. Lauryl (meth)acrylate, butyl(meth) acrylate, etc., is preferably used as the structural unit A. The copolymer preferably comprises the structural units A and B and further, (C) a structural unit comprising a (meth)acrylate group [e.g. a 2-4C hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylate] having functionality to diisocyanate.
