SOLUTION: In this device, in a state that the sheet 100 is carried above the rollers 16 of conveyor F and its positioning is fixed there, the conveyor F is lowered to a prescribed position, and, on the way of the downward motion, the sheet 100 is placed on cylindrical pieces equipped on a pallet and is fixed there by positioning cramps 18. The lens unit 3 is, as necessary, shifted in the direction of Y-axis, and at the same time the lens 6 of the lens unit 3 is, as necessary, shifted in the direction of Z-axis and is tilted so as to make the laser beam have a prescribed inclined angle to sheet 100, and then the joint part is cut.
