METHOD FOR CONTROLLING COKE OVEN TEMPERATURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a proper oven temperature control very close to a target oven temperature pattern by forecasting the target oven temperature pattern and the influence of the input to the control system of coal feeding on the oven temperature and controlling the feed of a fuel gas so that the deviation may be minimized. SOLUTION: This invention provides a method for controlling the oven temperature by determining the quantity of heat supplied into the oven necessary to allow the oven temperature to coincide with the target temperature, which method comprises using a model representing the relationship between the oven temperature and the quantity of heat supplied and a model representing the relationship between the oven temperature and coal feed (disturbance), determining the present and future target changes and the present and future deviations resulting from the inputted disturbance from the models, setting a quadratic objective function concerning the deviation and the fluctuation of the flow rate of a fuel gas, determining a control parameter so that the evaluation amount may be minimized, and controlling the quantity of heat supplied (fuel gas feed).
