ELECTRIC SHAVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric shaver which can freely be used for shaving, combination cutting, or hairline cutting, and its guard body protects the blade tip of a hairline cutting blade and guides long hair or vicious hair in the combination cutting, and the hairline cutting unit does not interfere with shaving. SOLUTION: A hairline cutting unit 5 is designed in such a manner that it can be slid at least in three positions, that is, a storage position in which a hairline cutting blade 41 is under a main blade 4 of a body case 1, the first using position for the combination cutting in which the hairline cutting blade 41 and the main blade 4 are used together, and the second using position for the independent hairline cutting in which the hairline cutting blade 41 is higher than the main blade 4. While the hairline cutting unit 5 moves from the storage position to the first using position, a guard body 45 and the unit 5 are moved together, and while the unit 5 moves from the first using position to the second using position, only the unit 5 moves upward, and the guard body 45 leaves downward from the hairline cutting blade 41.
