ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE ABSORBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the electromagnetic shild effect to be exercised satisfactory by a method wherein an electromagnetic wave absorber is provided with a transmittable holding member having a cavity as well as carbon particles dispersed in the holding member. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave absorber is composed of cabon particles 1, glass wool 2 and carbon fiber sheet as the holding memners of the carbon particles 1 as well as a rubber coated metallic sheet 5. When an electromagnetic wave generating body is covered with such an electromagnetic absorber, any electromagnetic wave interfering waves W are eliminated by the carbon particles 1 elecromagnetically shielding the interfering waves. Accordingly, for example, when a sounder is being driven nearby, noise enters the radio sound, but if the sounder is covered with the electromagnetic wave absorber, no noise enters the radio sound even if the sounder is being driven. In such an example, the electromagnetic wave interfering waves W are brought into direct contact with the carbon particles 1 when the waves W pass through the transmittable holding member 2, thereby making the shielding operation more effective. Besides, the exposed carbon particles 1 are also effective for the absorption of the high-frequency electromagnetic wave energy. Accordingly, the electromagnetic wave absorber can satisfactorily exercise the electromagnetic shielding effect.
