COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color filter of excellent quality in which no color mixing state is produced in effective pixels by using an ink jet recording method, by forming a color mixing region between adjacent pixels comprising color patterns of different colors in an effective picture plane. SOLUTION: A photosensitive resin soln. having accepting ability for a coloring agent is applied on a transparent substrate 1 to form an accepting layer for a coloring agent. Then a specified photomask including a color mixing region pattern to be formed between adjacent pixels is used to expose the accepting film layer to harden the film with light. Thereby, a hardened part with light which does not accept a coloring agent and a mixing color region 3 having accepting ability for a coloring agent are formed between adjacent pixels of different colors. Since the color mixing region 3 is formed, an ink overflowing from a pixel during a coloring process can be accepted by the color mixing region 3. Moreover, by forming the part which does not accept a coloring agent in the adjacent part to the color mixing region 3, mixing of colors between the color mixing region 3 and pixels can be effectively prevented.
