DIRECTION CHANGING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the direction change of the wheels, being grounded, of direction changing devices for a vehicle in any place, where high grounding pressure is applied on a road surface. SOLUTION: For a container crane 1 (a vehicle) to be direction-changed, an outrigger 13 (a jack) is provided on a sill beam 2a (at the lower part of a mainbody) near a position, where wheels 10, 11 provided on the frames 6 of direction changing devices 3 for a crane mainbody 2 are mounted. When the container crane 1 requires direction change, the outrigger 13 is extended in any place to lift the wheels 10, 11 for direction change with a small steer cylinder 9 (a direction changing means).
