ROLLER STRAIGHTENING METHOD OF WIDE FLANGE SHAPE AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the change in web height, to reduce cracks in fillet parts and to obtain straightening effects to the inclination of flanges and bevel-shaped bend by straightening a wide flange shape by pinching the flanges of the wide flange shape with horizontal rolls and vertical rolls. SOLUTION: A treatment is repeated in which the flanges 2 of the wide flange shape 1 are opened by the taper provided on the outer side faces of the horizontal roll 10 while adding bending upward and downward by the reduction with the horizontal roll 10, the flanges 2 of the wide flange shape are closed with the vertical rolls 20 at the next stand. Thus, plastic strain is sufficiently given to the flanges 2 and straightening without generating fillet crack is enabled. Further, by loading compressive stress on the fillet parts with the vertical rolls, the straightening by which the web height is not changed and the fillet crack is not generated is enabled. In this way, effects that the shape of the wide flange shape is efficiently straightened and the quality of products is improved are obtained.
